Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Hare
The Hare has a single room with seating either side of a central bar. It has pale grey painted walls and dark grey wainscotting. The floor around the bar is tiled, with bare boards either side and a slightly raised carpeted area to the rear left. Both sides of the bar have fireplaces (not lit on my winter visit). I spotted at least one TV to the left side of the bar. This was off in favour of pop music. I sat in one of the bay windows at a high table. There were regular tables elsewhere. The pub has a garden to the rear and there are also a couple of other outdoor tables at the front.
Board games could be found on a windowsill and a wifi password was available behind the bar. Food was being served. In fact, an advertisement board outside proclaimed the Sunday lunches to be the best in town.
There are now just two handpulls on the bar. These were sporting Boltmaker & Old Speckled Hen. Neck Oil & Reliance IPA were on keg. The cider was Inch's. I found service from the young barmaid to be friendly. She asked me if my Timothy Taylor half pint glass was big enough (it wasn't oversized). Once poured with a head, she asked me if I would like it topped up. Personally, I prefer a slightly bigger head. So, I was quite content!
Not many were in on my Friday lunchtime visit. So the pub did lack a little atmosphere. Children are allowed in. It's the wrong side of Leighton Buzzard station to fit into any decent crawl.

A community boozer with a two bay window frontage. The front door leads straight to the bar counter and there are two wings down either side of the central servery;to the left an L shaped room with a darts board,to the right a Sky flat screen on the far wall, which was sensibly screening a match with the sound on mute, leaving others to enjoy a traditional pub abiance.Regulars gather around the bar on bar stools while the other furniture was trad wooden. The pub is also dog friendly.
There was a pleasant welcome but although five handpumps were offering real ale the selection on my trip was a bit mundane ,namely 6X,Cottage Brewing Polar Eclipse,Doom Bar(a little lifeless),TT Golden Best and Wye Valley HPA which had run out before I could be served a pint.
A better selection in better condition would have justified a higher rating, the pub itself is a decent place for a pint.

This Pub has it all without trying too hard. The Landlord knows his ales, a friendly atmosphere and some really good pub food (a new and welcome addition). We were here for the first game of the Wold Cup and the place was full, we came back when England wasn't playing (which suited us), it was still busy but our glasses were never left empty for long.
