Lovely building adjacent to a quintessential English village green, complete with cricket pitch, oak tree and duck pond. Beautiful setting. A shame that the Landlord seems to have the interpersonal skills of a grumpy deaf mute on a bad day.
Asked for Guiness, he started to pour from the chilled pump, I asked if I could have a regular Guiness, and he said ' of course, I will have this one ' and continued to pour. Put the unwanted chilled Guiness down on the countetr and walked away, leaving his wife to take my money. Odd behaviour to say the least.
I will not be going back, and unless you want to drink whatever the Landlord chooses to pour for you, I would suggest that you avoid it also. Maybe I caught him on a dad day? Should professional Landlords have bad days?

Excellent first rate , just what an English pub should be like. Good ale and great food. Excelent location and beutiful pub. Its only downside is the lack of astmosphere at times. Otherwise well worth finding.
