Football Saturday and I was part of 3 coaches of Dulwich Hamlet fans that arrived here at once. Being the nearest pub to the ground and with the club deciding not to open the bar before the game to away fans the Orange Tree did very well for 2 hours!
I have been here before about 6 years back and on that visit the pub was almost empty. On this occasion with football being shown live on the tv’s and food being served it was already fairly busy by the time the coaches rocked up.
3 ales all from the GK stable on the taps, the pints of Rock on Rudolph I had were all on decent form.
Stayed for a couple of hours, good bar staff, reasonable locals, Braintree Town lost out on a lot of money before the match!
