Situated on a roundabout just out of Billericay town centre, this is a friendly locals pub which stocks a good range of real ales and a real cider.
The pub has a single cosy room with at least one TV.
Young kids aren't allowed in, but my 9-year-old was made an exception, which saved us from the cold. Inside, there was a mix of customers. A couple of Chelmsford football fans were in before the local derby with Billericay, others were in to watch the horse racing and others were having lunch.
The 3 regular beers here are Oakham Citra, Mighty Oak Captain Bob & Wibbler's Dengie IPA. In addition, they had a couple of guests - Billericay Christmas Blonde & George's Broadsword. The cider was Lilley's Rhubarb.

This is a small old Gray's pub tucked away down a lane off the main Billericay High Street. Inside it's a single bar where some building work was happening on the left side as you enter. On the bar in were six handpumps selling a cider, Doom Bore, GK IPA, Betty Stoggs and Mighty Oak Oscar Wilde Mild & Flying Inn. I went for the Flying Inn which was in good nick. Given that as a Gray's pub it is presumably restricted to their guest beer list the presence of the two Mighty Oak beers was very welcome.
This is a pleasant pub with something of a country pub feel about it and is well worth the short diversion from the main drag through Billericay.
It is GBG 2014 listed.

Bit of a foody pub but other than that not too bad.Real ale range not too good as most of it seems to be from the Greene King range.
