Strongers . left this review about The Hare & Hounds
The Hare & Hounds is a U-shaped village pub with seating up the left, feels like a dining area, and across the mid front windows opposite the bar counter that supports premium keg alongside three hand pumps that were drawing Harvey’s Best and Three Acre Brewery’s Session. Up the low beamed right-hand side is some seating at the front and some sofas at the rear adjacent to a large inglenook with burner and lots of chopped logs. To the right of the pub is a large seating area that is covered by a marquee at the front and was basking in the sun at the rear. Beyond, towards the rear car park, is a massive shoe that kids can stand in and climb on. The service was very friendly and it was nice seeing some actual drinking locals stood having some chat at the bar. Like most of the pubs around these parts there are restricted opening hours, although the advertised Sunday closing time of 18:00 was upon us and all the locals had full pints with no obvious inclination to sup up. I liked it I here and would return if only it wasn’t located in the middle of nowhere.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Hare & Hounds
Very much what you would hope and expect to find for a pub in a quiet village these days, with the dining room to the left of the compact central bar larger than the adjoining general seating area. However, there is a good-sized, part-covered beer garden to the right-hand side and rear (quite attractive, but with patches of slightly incongruous artificial grass in the areas likely to get worn), with a small children's play area beyond. As on my last visit 15 years ago, the Harvey's Sussex (£5.20) was on, as per the byelaws in these parts, along with that brewery's new Sisters table beer this time.

Blue Scrumpy left this review about The Hare & Hounds
The Hare & Hounds is the solitary pub in the village of Framfield. It has a reasonably large outdoor drinking area, with some covered seating and a children's play area.
At the front, there were also a couple of bench seats, which were being occupied by a group who had parked a couple of vintage steam engines outside. These were proving to be quite an attraction.
When enquiring about real ales, I was only offered Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter. Whilst a drinks menu was provided, I couldn't initially locate the real ales and ended up ordering a soft drink, as I was driving. Closer inspection of the menu also revealed a Three Acre Hazy Pale, which I should have plumped for.
