Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Royal Albert
Solid 1930s pub, surrounded by the suburban housing on the north side of town, with a dining area off to the left, the bar in the centre and a pool, dartboard and a little more seating on the right-hand side. Although now quite a basic estate pub, the interior retains many original features such as the 2/3rd-height wood panelling, fireplaces and doors. Thankfully, it does also do cask beer, with Battle Axe from nearby Battle Brewery (£4.60) available from a pair of handpumps.

Strongers . left this review about The Royal Albert
The Royal Albert was busy with a friendly crowd of mixed ages when I visited on a recent Saturday afternoon. I found the staff to be polite and I was given a decent pint of Guinness. Other standard draught products were available and one of the two hand pumps was off leaving Greene King IPA as the only ale option. To the left of the pub there is a seating area with piano and the bar area is located to the right where some plasma screens can be found. A muted Spurs friendly and cricket was being shown on the screens and some rather loud music was being played, but it wasn’t as loud in the right hand side of the pub where there is a pool table and two dartboards. Out the back there is a paved beer garden with an impressive BBQ with a chimney built onto the top. Some stairs lead down to some more seating and a petanque court where the Royal Albert was hosting a home game against the nearby Victoria Inn.
I liked it in here and would have no problem returning.
