Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Clarence
Old-school corner pub, with a tidier L-shaped bar than the exterior might suggest. Also has a partly opened-out rear pool room and quite loud music of the 1970s classic rock variety. Sisters table beer from Harvey's (£4.20) available from one of a pair of handpumps, and a reversed clip from the same brewery on the other.

The Clarence was dead on the Saturday night I visited a couple of weeks ago and the only other customer was engaged with the governor in a conversation about their beloved Fulham FC (bloody Cottagers!) This is a fairly basic pub with a pool table and dartboard at the rear and a plasma screen at the front that was showing baseball via Sky Sports. The bar is stocked with standard draught products and the two hand pumps were drawing Hobgoblin and Directors. I plumped for the Guinness which was well served. I though that the jukebox music was a little loud for such an empty pub but the atmosphere was friendly enough.
This is a forgettable place and I wouldn’t make an effort to return.

Popped in whilst taking my brother's dog for a walk. I didn't like the vibe - it seemed the sort of place that attracted the weirdoes and the friendless. I could be wrong and I could have misjudged the place, but I didn't like it.
Having said that, there's probably no better pubs within striking distance of this place.
