I wouldn't normally visit a Hall & Woodhouse establishment and a half of Dorset Pale was enough to remind me why - the beer isn't really to my taste, but I was in the area and needs must.
So, to the pub then. Well, it's all wooden beams and tiled floor and does have the feel of a country hotel. The bar area is compact and offers 3 cask ales, a standard draft selection as well as the brewery's keg IPA. It's very much the family dining establishment with several groups lingering after their Saturday lunches.
If I lived in the area, I think I'd struggle to adopt the Hangleton Manor as my local. As I don't, I can't imagine myself returning.

Hangleton Manor has all the feel of a manor house as one walks up the long gravelled parking area and driveway up to the entrance which is towards the rear of the building. Whilst searching for the entrance I stumbled upon the huge beer garden at the rear which comprises a patio area and much bigger grass covered area that is covered with picnic tables. I’m sure that it gets very busy here on hot summer weekend afternoons. The interior of this long and thin building is made up of a dining area to the left of the entrance and a bar area to the right. The bar had a sedate gastro pub feel when I visited on a recent midweek evening. It took a while to get served as I had walked in after a group of three who decided to pay separately by card for each of their drinks. I got the feeling that things like this are common place in here as this is not a pub for pub lovers.
The bar is stocked with premium draught and being a Hall and Woodhouse establishment the three hand pumps were drawing Badger, Firkin Fox and Tanglefoot. As far as I could tell food is available all day and the mains from the menu ranged in price from £9 to £15.
I didn’t settle in here and will walk past next time I’m in the area.
