Strongers . left this review about The Kings Head
The Kings Head is a large pub that seemed more popular with the younger inhabitants of the area when I visited on a recent Saturday evening. The jukebox was playing a mixture of dance and Britpop and most of the blokes present wee playing on the pool table that is located in a room to the right of the bar. The large plasma screen was off and to the left of the pub by the entrance is a dartboard. The bar is stocked with the usual suspects and two of the hand pumps were unused leaving Pride and Bombardier as the ale choices. I spotted an advertisement for karaoke that takes place every Thursday evening and there is a function room that is available for free hire. Outside there is a large car park and the bus stop is adjacent.
Although the staff were very friendly I do not plan a revisit anytime soon.
