Requested be closed with reason - Other: This pub is closed. I know this because I walked past the other day. There's a notice outside from Harveys which indicates that they will tell us when it is due to re-open. There's nothing to suggest it is being refurbished, perhaps they're just looking for a new tenant. Retains its pub signage outside, so it's obviously intended to reopen it at some stage. The Harveys web site confirms this

A large town centre Harveys pub, this is far removed from their usual type of outlet – it’s very modern and barn-like and caters for a transient crowd. Our visit found it serving the full Harveys range, my Lewes Brown ale was in pretty good shape. Thatchers cider was also available alongside the usual keg stuff. The interior is a large single room with a long bar running down the right hand side, rather run down with crappy beaten furnishings though the nice skylight at the rear gives things a boost. There’s a small amount of seating outside on the pedestrianised street. Pictures of obese locals getting plastered on posters advertising the weekends revelries regale you on your trip to the traps, which makes me think I wouldn’t want to get stuck in here after 7pm on a Friday or Saturday night.

The best way to describe this is that it's a Harveys version of down-market Wetherspoons; handy for where it is but I wouldn’t want to make a beeline for it.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Terminus

Rather more modern than most Harvey's houses, but definitely still a pub rather than a bar (like the dubious-looking BN21 next door). Not much atmosphere when I visited early-ish Sunday lunchtime, but there was a good choice of the Lewes beers (including a Dark Mild on good form).
