The fairly attractive glazed green tiled exterior belies what lies within.
The interior is bare boarded with a tiled bar apron then a somewhat Antic-like mishmash of bare brick, distressed plasterwork and semi-industrial accoutrements, mixed furniture including tall tubular steel chairs with tatty vinyl; strange convex mirrors dangled from the ceiling, seemingly designed to induce disorientation, but otherwise décor seemed mainly to comprise potted palms and hanging ferns. Music was too loud for comfort and customers in the main were students, many utterly in love with the sound of their own voices.
There’s no cask here anymore, just some pseudo craft then the likes of Madri and Blue Moon, so it was a half of Guinness, a scandalous £3.70.
This is a poor pub, but there are better ones in the area and there are worse.

Corner pub serving Sharps Atlantic and Doom Bar. We went for the Atlantic which was fine. There is also a row of "crafty" beers from the likes of Tiny Rebel and Beavertown if that's your thing! All in all a decent pub.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about William the Fourth
Brewer's Tudor building, partly opened out to leave a number of seating / dining areas around a central bar. Despite the black-and-white upper storey, it is still quite plain externally but the interior has been refurbished throughout. Proper Job, Arundel Sussex Gold (£4.10) and Rosie's Pig cider from three of five handpumps.
