Another decent pub. It seems to be aimed at the younger crowd. We had a quick drink of Harvey's Sussex Best.

Nicknamed The Eddy, this is another of Brighton's seemingly limitless dinky corner pubs, situated a little to the west of the railway station and naturally up a steep climb.
The bar is wood panelled, the floor is part bare boarded, part flagstone; furniture is conventional. This pub seemed more youth-orientated than some of the other similar establishments near here and there was a good happy vibe egged on by loudish music. The lavatories though could really do with some remedial work.
Ales: two pumps, clips reversed then Franklin Brewery's Mama Knows Best at a reasonable £2.00 a half and fine.
This pub makes for a decent basecamp on the assent up the west face of the city, but in future I'd prefer to press on up to The Battle of Trafalgar.

Sky Sports was on, but not attracting much attention on my recent lunchtime visit. The whole pub was attracting very little interest, to be honest, but there are many other options in the area. I expect it gets busier later. Inside, its pretty much a long room, sunlit at the front on the day, but gloomier towards the rear. There's some seating outside on Buckingham Street for smokers and sunseekers.
The bar's right in front of you as you enter. 3 ales on offer - 2 nationals, but I went for the local option of Downlands Root Thirteen, which hit the spot. It's not my number one option in the streets around Brighton Station, but it could be worth a look-in from time to time.
