Moby Duck left this review about Pull & Pump
A nice looking pub on approach but once inside it seemed rather featureless and bland. Three handpumps on the U shapped bar but just the one cask beer available which was Laines Dubloon, I had a half with the barman spending the whole transaction with his mobile phone glued to his ear in conversation, thankfully I only brought a half as the beer was approaching vinegar, with nothing to replace the beer I left it and moved on with the barman still in deep conversation on his phone.
Not impressed.

Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Pull & Pump
Quite a fetching little pub at the top end of Clarence Gardens, appealing enough to divert from my planned itinerary to investigate. 'U'-shaped bar in a square room with alehouse-style furniture and decor, but on a bright Spring day most of the punters were sat out on the compact front terrace. Four handpumps on the counter, offering the 'house' Pleasure Pale Ale, Gun Project Babylon Pale Ale, Franklin's Mama Knows Best (£4.00) and a SeaCider cider.

Strongers . left this review about Pull & Pump
The Pull and Pump was very quiet when I visited on Monday evening last week, but the very close proximity to Western Road and the high street chain shops leads me to believe that this pub is busier during the day. The cutlery and condiments on a shelf to the left of the bar also gives it away that this is a busy lunchtime setting. This is a traditional single room pub with a half oval bar on the back wall that supports four hand pumps that were drawing Sharp’s Cornish Coaster, Theakston’s Best and Hepworth’s Old Ale. The final hand pump was unused and the draught selection consisted of Becks Vier, Grolsch, Stowford Press, Red Stripe, Aspall’s cider, Stowford Press and Guinness. There is also an extensive tequila menu that would down any size bull. The barmaid was friendly even though severe boredom must have set in, maybe the random background music helped a little. There are some picnic tables out the front for warmer times and smokers.
This pub is handily placed for a quick beer if shopping, but this is certainly not a destination pub.
