A backstreet corner pub, opened out inside to a U shape, basic seating scattered around, sports tv is advertised and a six nations Rugby match was on. Four handpumps on the centrally placed bar with two Harveys on Sussex Best and Old Ale, having just had a superb Old Ale scored an NBSS 4.5 in The Mitre Tavern I plumped for the same, unfortunately this example paled into insignificance managing a score of 2, rubbing salt into the wound it was also just short of a pound a pint more.
Not overly impressed with this one.

The Park Crescent is a back street pub with a small patio garden at the rear that was full of some very loud and obnoxious drunkards on Tuesday evening. If the noise that was emanating from the garden is the norm I’m glad that I don’t live on the same road. Thankfully the din wasn’t heard in the pub as the chatter of happy locals drowned it and the low back music out. This Hall and Woodhouse pub is L shaped and dimly lit which made reading the many chalk board menus difficult. I did manage to spot that the food is Thai and most mains cost about £7. The bar supports four hand pumps, one of which was unused leaving Badger, Tanglefoot and Pickled Partridge as the ale options. The draught selection consisted of Amstel, HB Extra Cold, Kronenburg, Leffe, Guinness and Stowford Press.
I had a decent half of Tanglefoot and the service was friendly so I would pop in for another beer if passing.
