Strongers . left this review about The Northern Tavern
The Northern Tavern is a Shepherd Neame establishment with four hand pumps on the bar that haven’t seen any action for some time. The usual Shep draught is all there and I can’t complain about my half of Oranjeboom. The locals were drunkard and from some local estate, but I was treated well. There is a jukebox and a pool table to the rear where there is an outside area for smokers. The plasma screen was showing an episode of Benidorm which I thought very apt.
The lovely lady on duty was very friendly and the locals were of the type not to feck with. I should have left with bad things to say but I’d pop back in for another pint of Oranjeboom.
