Original tiled exterior. 2 real ales. The pub has a bar billiards table and 2 dartboards.

The Montreal Arms is a U shaped backstreet local’s boozer that was reasonably busy on Tuesday evening. To the left of the bar there is a dartboard and to the right, bar billiards and another dartboard. The plasma screen shows Sky Sports and the jukebox was playing some low music in the background. I noticed an advertisement for a weekly quiz on Mondays at 21:00. The usual draught suspects line the bar and Harvey’s Best was being drawn by the second working hand pump. There is an area at the rear for smokers so they don’t have to stand on this residential street.

The woman working behind the bar was friendly enough, but a couple of the locals were a bit odd and some old woman at the end of the bar muttered something as I walked past. The traditional tiled exterior had me hoping that I had stumbled across a fantastic little local, but alas this isn’t the greatest pub in the area.
