Strongers . left this review about The World's End
The World’s End looks like a bar from the outside but it is in fact a pub the stretches back quite a distance making it bigger than the outside would suggest. The bar runs down the left hand wall and amongst the standard draught products are six hand pumps. One of these was unused and another off, but the operational pumps were drawing W J King’s Brighton Best, Hepworth’s Iron Horse, Cheddar Valley cider and Heritage cider. At the rear there is a raised seating area along with a dartboard and a plasma screen. There is another plasma screen at the front of the pub and these are both used to show Sky Sports when something worthwhile watching is being played. Poker is played here every Monday from 20:00 and there are board games available to play from behind the bar. Pub grub is served at very reasonable prices, but I know not of the quality.
There was no sport being played, but it was still busy with a young student crowd. I found the staff to be very polite and the Best was on good form. There are better pubs around, but I’d have no problem returning for a beer.
