Another small pub / bar in Kemptown. Rectangle with stage at end away from the entrance. Bar along the right-hand wall. Brown leather banquette along other long wall with some small round table tops set on kegs and some small leather topped stools around the other side of the tables. Most in here were sat at the bar on tall stools.

Keg only and mostly lager (Stella regular and unfiltered, Budweiser, Becks, Mahou, Camden Hells, Corona). Cider was Orchard Pig Reveller and Guinness also available.

Pleasant and cool inside and again background music only. Quite busy with largely just the sound of background chat.

The Bulldog was fairly busy on Wednesday evening and a disco was in full swing complete with flashing lights etc. The plasma screens were showing swirly patterns and there was no escape from the madness in this single room pub. The staff were friendly and I received a decent half of Doom Bar. Harveys Best and Worthington’s Winter Shield were also available alongside a standard draught selection. I thought that this place was a stereotypical gay pub and this is how I imagined every gay pub to be before I ever wandered into one.

I can’t imagine returning here in any great hurry.
