Quirky interior with a central bar and raised seating areas either side. The pub has 2 dartboards and a bar billiards table. 1 real ale.

Located on the steep Albion Hill is the Albion Inn was very quiet with two other customers when I visited on Tuesday evening. The bar is at the front of the pub and supports four hand pumps, but three of these were unused leaving London Pride as the only ale option. There are some standard draught products and I received half a pint of generic lager from the affable barman. Some steps to the right of the bar lead up to a seating area and at the rear there is a bar billiards table and a dartboard. To the left of the bar up some more steps is another seating area and there is a plasma screen in either side of the pub. These were both off and I didn’t spot any Sky Sports advertisements, but there was some background music playing off the jukebox. At the rear off the pub there is an outside area for smokers.
I didn’t see anything during my visit that would stop me returning to this pub and if the local inhabitants of the area are decent folk I can imagine this as being a decent little boozer. It’s just a shame that the ale selection is so sparse.
