Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Sportsman
Side-street pub with large windows at the front which unusually have dimpled glazing so you cannot take a peek inside without opening the doors. Anyway, the interior of the bar is fairly traditional, with a wide range of prints on the walls, and the smaller 'Sin Bin' room can be found at the back. Two of four handpumps were in use when I visited, with Harvey's (£3.90) and Long Blonde from Long Man available when I visited.

I planned my recent crawl around Bexhill so that I would be in here for the end of the England Euro 2012 qualifier that was taking place. I thought that it was a fairly safe bet that the “Sportsman” would be showing the match, but I was very wrong as it wasn’t. There is a TV in a small room at the rear, but from the scarves and flags adorning the walls and ceiling I gleaned that this is in fact a rugby pub with no Sky Sports. There is a jukebox and the locals seem to be big fans of Jonny Cash as his greatest hits cd seemed to be getting more attention than any other artists. The bar has a few standard draught products and the three hand pumps were drawing Harveys Best (x2) and Youngs Gold. Out the back there is a paved beer garden full of tables and chairs.
I suppose that I would have no problem popping back in here for anther pint, but I wouldn’t be that bothered if I didn’t.
