A renovated thatched farmhouse operated by Vintage Inns, well described by Anthony, below. The main building is connected to a former dovecote by a new link extension. The gardens are tidy and furnished with plenty of benches and tables, and there is plenty of space to park. Dogs are welcome in the garden but not in the pub. The staff are reasonable, but some the the passing trade is a bit tiresome, especially in the Summer. The food is reasonable but, like the drinks, overpriced. Three ales on, I had Ringwood 49er, which was in reasonable condition but not worth the premium. Worth stopping in for lunch or a passing pint.

Antony Wells left this review about The Old Barn Farm
After a facelift and an inexplicable name-change, this is now known as 'Three Legged Cross'.
A large building with a faintly labrynthine interior and substantional car-park, the Three Legged Cross is much more a roadside restaurant than it is a local pub. That said, it is used by a fair few folk just in for a drink or two. There are three ale pumps and this pub can surprise the real ale drinker, Ringwood Best and Thornbridge Jaipur and White Horses' Black Horse Porter last time I was in. The quality of the ale is usually excellent. Lager, cider, keg beer, wine, spirits and soft drinks are all on offer. The food comes from a pretty standard Vintage Inn's menu but like the ale, is surprisingly good.
On the whole a rather soulless place helped out by it's friendly, efficient staff plus the ability to surprise. Rammed at weekends during the summer it's probably best to book if going for a meal at busy times.
My rating, 7, largely due to the fact that it is very good at what it does, very good indeed.
