We enjoyed a great meal at this lovely little pub situated close to one of the town's main car parks. The landlord Graham clouldn't do enough for us and made us completely welcome. I must recommend his real ales, not only a great selection, but beautifully served - a must for any CAMRA enthusiast.

The Star is a small one roomed pub that is on a side street that runs from the train station to the town centre.
Once inside this is a smallish comfortable pub to have a drink in there was one real ale on the bar when i went in here this was Wadworth 6X and this was a very nice drink.

Pub visited 25 August 2000.
