Longish pub with main entrance at the side, abutting the car park. Navigating past a staring group of smokers, we found the main bar, with two pool tables, table football, and sky sports amongst its entertainments, along with a modern juke box whose attempts to compete with the rock group that seemed to be practising in the rear room made for a particularly unpleasant cacophony. To the front two further rooms and another bar appeared to be disused, but made for a quieter and more civilised place to drink our pints, save for the occasional unintelligible utterances from old men staggering to and from the gents toilet.

The usual tap offerings were available plus one ale - Doombar – which in fairness was much better than I expected. But I don’t think I’m in this pub’s target market, and I’d be highly unlikely to revisit it.
