Rumoured to be closed. If true probably not before time as there are far better pubs in Weymouth - the excellent Red Lion just opposite for example.

Housed in a former brewery and adjacent to the Brewer's Quay shopping area and Weymouth Timewalk attraction the Excise House is Slightly tatty with tired decor but food and beer is good quality. Good food menu including steak pies and chips - child friendly

On the one hand they have got some decent ales and the food wasn't bad.
But.... 5pm on a Sunday evening. There is no one at all at the bar except me and three friends. There were (at least) three staff on. We weren't served for at least ten minutes. I wonder what it's like when they are busy.
