A detached corner pub in yellow and green, looking slightly tired currently, with a rear patio.
The interior is a single open plan room with two areas, as there is a seating area and a pool table and dart board in the other part. The decor is white and there is a brick fireplace, along with some wood beams. Interest is supplied by the few mirrors, some books, model greyhounds, brass ephemera, old photos of Weymouth and the fishing nets on the ceiling. The TV wasn't on and the music was general and at an OK level. The service was really friendly and i chatted to Vicky the landlady for a few pints worth (nice eyes) - clearly this is a dog and well, animal friendly place. A few locals were playing pool and up the serving bar, which faced you on entry.
Beer; tap stuff with two handpulls; the Spekky Hen wasn't on and there was a decent Ringwood 49er
A friendly place and a proper pub. I enjoyed my stop off here.

The Brownlow is a back street pub that is opposite the train lines and not too far from the station.
Once inside here there was one room that was basic but comfortable enough, there was one real ale on the bar which was Courage directors this was a decent enough drink.
