Little to add from Alan's review nearly 20 years ago(!). Still a Charles Wells house with Olde Worlde trappings inside and out. CW Eagle IPA, Bombardier and something from their 'Wandering Brewer' project called Jazz Club augmented by Wadworth 6X formed the four ale line-up.

The King William 1V is a really nice looking pub that looks quite old from the outside with its black and white frontage.
Once inside the pub was very smart and comfortable, the pub had been opened out but still retained different drinking areas, there was also a seperate restaurant to the rear of the pub.
This pub is a Charles Wells tied house and there were two real ales on the bar i had a drink of Wells Eagle bitter and this was a decent drink the other beer was Bombadier.
This was a nice comfortable pub to have a few drinks in.
