Part of the Premier Table Table chain, sited in a previously up-market Edwardian residential area, now sadly declining into mediocrity. The pub was formerly a splendid town house whose front garden is now a small car park with a couple of wooden benches for smokers, probably quite a dismal place to sit. The bar is smaller than you expect, but it does occupy the whole of the front of the house and is long and narrow, informally demarked into different drinking and dining areas, though with almost all its Edwardian charm hidden under Habitat-like décor. There are a few TV screens, some showing live sports but one dead, presumably having committed electronic suicide to escape the boredom. The staff were friendly, the clients a mix of residential guests and one or two lonely-looking locals. Three handpumps on the bar, only Razorback and Fortyniner being dispensed, both in decent condition. I'd be happy to have a drink if staying here, but it wouldn't be somewhere I'd make an effort to visit.
