Graham Coombs left this review about Linton Lock Inn

A wonderfully-obscure little pub which manages to conceal its existence quite well. It can be found in the picturesque lockkeeper's house at Linton Lock on the River Ouse, down a bumpy lane off the village road, and looks after a nearby camp site and marina. Outside there are some tables overlooking the lock, which are secured behind a wall as the river can flood dramatically. The little bar room has stone flags and is liberally decorated with those appalling joke plaques found in holiday places. To one side is a sort of snug, which includes a dartboard, and to the other a fairly plain dining room and an overspill. The whole place is nicely homespun and a little cluttered but the welcome is very friendly. Sadly no cask ales, with just Worthington, Carlsberg and a Sharp's cider on keg, but there is a fair selection of Rudgate and Daleside bottles in the fridge. Food is proper pub grub and home-made to order. A pity there's no cask (probably rightly as I doubt the turnover would justify it) otherwise an excellent pub in a splendid location. Note it is closed on Mondays.
