A bar dedicated to vinyl listening with the owner playing albums from his extensive collection,while also selling others from a small side area.It's a small interior with the bar and turntables directly opposite the front door,seating comprises a round 4 seater,and several smaller tables and chairs in a charming space.Closed on Mondays but open all other days from 10am,loose leaf teas and coffee is served but no food apart from crisps.It closes at 4pm on Tuesdays and 3pm Sundays but is open until 10pm all other evenings and a featured album will be played from 7pm,advertised on the website and facebook.At all other times a random album will be playing ,the volume carefully controlled to enhance listening.
There is no draught ,but the fridges have plenty of bottled beer with a collection from the local New River Brewery among others.Wine and cocktails will also be popular.
The owner is very friendly and engaging and this is a new ,cool concept in Hertford and I wish him well.Spending 45 minutes listening to Selling England by The Pound by Genesis in pleasant surroundings among other aficionados is always worthwhile.
