Strongers . left this review about Amano Rooftop Bar

Reached by a lift from the entrance, Amano Rooftop Bar is on the top 7th floor of the Amano Hotel where a large U-shaped steel topped cocktail counter with an abundance of fruit faces lounge seating that was full of hotel guests and affluent twenty-somethings during a recent Friday early evening visit. The main draw is the thin roof terrace where a mix of high and standard tables have views over London towards Canary Wharf. As expected, it is pricey with no draught and only four bottled options, two lagers, an alcohol-free lager and a cider. These 330 ml bottles, I went for the Meantime IPA, were priced around the £8 mark. The cocktails start at £16 and there is an extensive list of high-quality spirits with equally high prices. The tapas were also expensive priced between £8 and £16 a dish, and I though the quality wasn’t great with the pastry being doughy and the mushroom hummus wasn’t pleasant. Plastic sheeting of flowers and leaves up the wall was a bit tacky, but I suppose it’s better than a plain metal wall. It was a nice spot to take the family, but I don’t think we’d visit again, and if we did, we would only have a drink. I will mention the all the staff were very friendly, so an extra couple of points there.
