Strongers . left this review about Char+Mash
Located on the first floor in the SSE Arena, below Cineworld, is Char + Mash that is essentially a pub and restaurant. During a recent quiet Monday evening visit, the open frontage was being patrolled by a very friendly young lady who let us have a look at the menu before we decided to eat here. Open plan seating is found at the front and a serving counter stocked with premium keg runs up the right-hand wall where it faces booth seating to the left. More open plan seating for dining is found at the rear where large floor to ceiling windows across the rear wall look onto the square, and a giant Belfast Giants puck, below. I didn’t spot any televisions, but there was some background music playing. The waitress that served us was just as friendly as the one that showed us to our table, and the spice bag was tasty and very fairly priced. I’m not sure that I would go out of my way to visit just for a beer, but in my opinion, this is better than the many chain restaurants in this venue.
