Will Larter left this review about Eyam Brewery Taproom
In an unprepossessing industrial unit on a small estate on the way out of Tideswell, this is the taproom for the Eyam brewery, which is still brewing at Great Hucklow, about halfway between here and Eyam village. (The brewery site is not big enough for a taproom, and this site is not big enough to house the brewery as well, so something's gotta give, it would seem.) There's a small bar counter on the left on entering, but with room to expand, the three hand pumps being spread along a stretch that would take 10, I reckon. The wall behind has eight keg taps, and the available beers are listed on a video screen. Some shelves at the back have the same beers in cans and bottles, and everything is reasonably priced. There are occasional food pop ups, and children and dogs are welcome. Furniture is a pleasing mix of random tables and chairs, but the walls are plain and there is no sound baffling. My initial pint of Eyam ESB 5% was a decent drink and only £4.25, and I followed this up with thirds of Black Death and Hope Valley DIPA, both keg beers and pretty strong but very good. Worth a look in, but only weekends at present.
