Blackthorn _ left this review about Ivybridge Brewing Co Taproom

Located in a shopping centre just off the High Street, this is the tap room for the adjacent Ivybridge Brewing Company, and whilst the brewery itself has been there since 2018, the limited space available other than outside seating meant that they expanded in to this unit in March 2025.

Décor wise it’s quite industrial as might be expected, and consists of a single, open plan room with some sort of screed on the floor and concrete on the walls. Elsewhere sheets of rusty corrugated iron had been used to clad the walls, as well as the front of the bar counter and the roof of a makeshift cupboard, although there was also a small area of exposed stone walling. Furniture was mostly basic folding tables and long benches which weren’t the most comfortable, whilst a ‘fridge contained a selection of bottles to take away and another corner had a small selection of merchandise for sale.

Beers on tap were all their own as might be expected and consisted of Erme Pale, Moorland Mosaic, Red Lake and First Light. The solitary cider meanwhile was Sandford Orchard’s Devon Red. The barmaid was friendly and chatty, and whilst it might well be the best option in the immediate vicinity, that’s not necessarily saying very much and I wouldn’t go out of my way to return.
