David Walton left this review about Sidings Bar @ Goodsheds
Visited 29/04/26
No cask. Keg offering of Jute Session IPA from Salt, Pravha, Aspall, Guinness, Staro, Clwb Tropica, Camden Hells.
The Sidings is the first bar you come to on entering the Goodsheds development and immediately to the right of the entrance. It is marketed as the sports bar on the development. It is industrial stone floored, painted in a light colour with the bar counter along the front part of the right-hand wall. Regular and tall table seating with regular or tall backed leather padded seats with a corner leather sofa in the front left-hand corner. There is some outside wooden bench like seating with cover over some of the tables on the left-hand side of the venue. A dart board languished on the wall just inside the entrance, screens were showing tennis absent commentary, and an 80's pop soundtrack were playing at a low volume.
Aside from the Sidings, there are two other bars within the Goodsheds development:
(1) Goodbar
Goodbar is the food court bar in the centre of the development. It is stone block flooring with bench style seating away from the bar counter which is at the front of the venue. Fully covered, no screens and a high tempo soundtrack being played on my mid evening visit. No cask. Basic keg offering of Jute session IPA, Aspall, Staro and Pravha, a subset of the range at the Sidings.
(2) Academy 297
This is the rooftop cocktail bar; indeed, the promotional material describe as the only rooftop bar in Barry! It is a Fri to Sun opener (and might also be a seasonal Spring & Summer venue), so I didn’t get to check out on this visit to Goodsheds!
