This is a simple enough micropub, offering 2 cool room stored cask ales (both Gun on this visit), along with a fount of 6 keg beers, comprising 3 pales, 2 pilseners and a cider. There's also around a dozen wines, mostly still and in no less than 3 colours. Seating is at some half-a-dozen small tables.
The pint of Best was reasonable, and certainly reasonably priced at £4.60 (though the Beak Hum had it's usual markup to £7.60).
The Tap is undoubtedly a benefit to Newhaven and its drinking population, which you'd want to visit if you were to find yourself in the locality for some reason.
