Old Boots left this review about The Middle Bar & Bottleshop

A long, thin shop conversion, it splits in two at the back with a bottle shop to the right and extra bench seating on the left. The counter is on the left as you enter, just the one pull with a lack lustre beer from Trig, there are six kegs from shiny box dispensers at the far end, the kegs are listed on a blackboard on the wall next to one with the food offer. Sandwich bar style seating at shelf and stool, the overall feeling is of a cafe rather than cafe-bar. It has an outside drinking area although it’s on busy Fulford Road opposite the Fulford Arms and almost next to a bus stop.

A new bar and bottle shop set up in a former sandwich bar. There is one tidily decorated room, with a bar at the front and a backroom containing the obligatory bottle and can racks and fridge, plus some benches on the forecourt outside. Beers are mainly from Trig, with one cask on hand pump and others on Keykeg, but with only room for one cask it can run out. Boxed cider also available and food from the café next door can be consumed when it is open. Mind the craft-type pricing but it is pleasant enough - it will be interesting to see how it develops.
