Previously a bank, this rather grand building now houses the Loungers branch over two floors. It’s an unremarkable Loungers clone, complete with gym floor, paintings and lampshades. Dog treats are available, and the staff were more attentive of canine than human customers. Said staff, young foreign and inept, got our order wrong, bringing cappuccino instead of Cruzcampo, an easy mistake I suppose, if you don’t listen to your customers. No cask ale or real cider, of course, just the standard array of Cruzcampo, Henry Weston’s, Brixton, Menabrea, Moretti, Old Mout and Hofmeister. At least you know what you’re getting with Loungers.
