E TA left this review about The Lyle Room

A community pub set up on the first floor of the Village Hall, and open to all comers albeit with limited opening hours. There is dedicated parking at the front, though you have to be careful not to stray onto the private parking of the houses next door. There is a small patio at the back which is the only place dogs are allowed – definitely not inside. The large single room is open plan with two parts. The bar area has a laminated floor and plenty of socialisation space, while the other half is a comfortable lounge area, carpeted, with Chesterfields and other leather armchairs and sofas. There is also a large TV screen. The young barman was helpful and welcoming, and the locals were sociable. One ale on cask, Timothy Taylor’s Landlord, which was in good condition. Also available were Poretti, Guinness, Carlsberg and Strongbow. Worth dropping in for a quick one if passing.
