Residence is a trendy bar with a bar stool lined central U-shaped wooden serving counter that splits the room in two, high tables are found one side and standard tables the other. There are also some booths, and the décor is floral with fairy lights, not unlike Slug & Lettuce, just more dimly lit. The barman was friendly, but I was the only customer and I mistakenly ordered a pint of cider from the premium keg selection that turned out to be a Strawberry & Lime Kopparberg… yuk, far too sweet for me. I only checked this place out because it was opposite my hotel, the bar of which was much busier than here. I wonder what this place will be called next.
