Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about The Sir Ronald Wates (JD Wetherspoon)

Very new Wetherspoons in the former Students Union bar, so understandably still settling in a bit. Despite the rather austere brick exterior, the J-shaped bar and an extension across the bridge connecting to Wates House where there is a separate large seating area with a couple of pool tables have a light modern look. With a bank of six handpumps, I found Bowman's Black Drop, Oakham Inferno (£3.30) and Road Kill from Cameron's on, in addition to the standard Ruddles, Doom Bar and Abbot.
