E TA left this review about The Old Barn Club
A social club which now entertains non-members, though members get discount on the beer prices. Previously an agricultural building – hence the name – the Club includes a large car park, no garden as such, and a separate building has been constructed to house two skittle alleys, and there is a small covered seating area near the main door. Yew Tree Farm is long gone now, build on to provide housing. In the main building, entered through a door that is opened on pressing a buzzer, is a small games room with a pool table and a much larger main bar with the bar counter, a low stage for acts in one corner, a juke box and several TV screens. The TVs are labelled either ‘Football’ or ‘Rugby’. There is also an array of gaming machines along one wall. The floor is mainly carpeted, except for a small dance floor near the stage. A door leads to the kitchen from which a selection of sandwiches and basic hot pub grub are served. Other food is sometimes served from a small buffet in another corner, including regular curry nights. Two cask ales on, Wadworth 6X and Doombar, both in good condition. Also available was a fairly unremarkable keg range. Its location is such that you’d only visit intentionally, but it’s probably fine for a quick pint and a cheap lunch if you happen to be in the area.
