First visit here, mainly due to the slightly restricted opening hours (opens at 4pm on weekdays) meaning I am usually passing through Sheringham when it's closed. The layout is as described below by Will, and it was quite pleasant sitting in the conservatory area - somewhere we had previosuly sat some years ago when it was a cafe! The beer selection was still two cask lines but much more interesting than Will had encountered, and I enjoyed a pint of Marble's This Is the Sea, 4.6% (£4.80), while the other pump had Chevallier Lagom Gold on offer. I also didn't have any objection to the 1970s music that was entertaining us. On my experience a future visit will definitely not be limited to a half!

An addition to the locally owned Gangways and Junction, and occupying a former restaurant, this is a sort of micropub-but-not, with two hand pumps and several keg taps. (The name refers to the end of the national rail network and the start of the heritage railway just opposite.) I was faced with a cask ale choice: Adnams Ghost Ship Session IPA, and having tried the full strength version at the Lobster the previous day I wasn't going to make the mistake of drinking its 3.4% sibling, or the other one. So it was Triple Point Gold. This breaks my taboo against drinking Sheffield beers when on the road, so when this turned out to to be slightly oxidised I felt suitably punished (NBSS 2.5, £4.80). This is quite a decent effort at a micropub, with the bar counter in the main building, and extra seating in a conservatory-like extension at the side, both of which are pleasant, but I'd like to see something more interesting on the cask lines, and if the background music is typical, I reckon any future visit will have to be limited to just a half.
