Just a quick pint, then I'm off left this review about Market Place Leicester Square
New food hall in a prime position beside the landmark Odeon cinema where film premieres are often held (so the rent must be sky high). Surprisingly quiet on a Wednesday evening, and it rather gives the impression of still finding its feet at the moment. Lots of 'street food' outlets along one side and to the rear, with the main bar behind the canteen-style seating in the middle. Another small bar and more seating at first-floor level. Limited selection of standard keg beers: Meantime's Anytime IPA, Peroni, Asahi, Jubel and Guinness plus Cornish Orchard cider.

No cask. Keg offering of Guinness, Asahi, Peroni, Jubel Peach lager, Meantime Anytime IPA, Cornish Orchards cider.
The latest of this growing London chain of food courts. This one is right in the heart of Leicester Square and from the front it is a long narrow restaurant with food retail outlets down the full length of the left-hand side, with a small ceramic chessboard walkway in front thereof and the front part of the right-hand side. There are bench style seating arrangements down the middle and along the left-hand wall with some screens thereon showing Sky Spirts recorded action sans commentary. There was a rather barnstorming pop soundtrack being played on my visit that made for a pleasant stop over a pint of Guinness. Upstairs there are plenty of seating options and another bar offering the same quaffs as the downstairs / ground floor bar, which is at the rear of the venue, with a small continuation of the food outlets beyond it in the rear right-hand corner. Never going to be a destination, however these food courts with bars provide something different, especially if you are looking for a pint of keg beer and want to eat but can’t decide so needs lots of visual options!
