Rob Hunter left this review about Tipsy Seagull

Visited on a Monday back in March. This was planned to be my first visit of the day and I was somewhat sceptical about the advertised midday opening. But lo and behold, it was indeed open at 12, so fair play.

Four cask ales on at the bar, my half of Area 51 by Rowton Brewery was very pleasant and set me back £2. Scampi Fries £1.30. Fair prices. There was one stout on, so good to see a dark beer available, even if I didn't choose it at the time. Various keg options available too. For anyone using the Real Ale Finder app (highly recommended!), this venue is listed.

I received a friendly welcome, no issue at all with service. Quiet at the time of my visit with just one older chap in, he was on his phone so presumably they don't have any Draconion rules in this micro about the use of technology. Chilled music was playing at a nice volume.

As you may guess from the name, there is a seagull theme (including seagull cushions) but it didn't feel tacky. The seating area consists mainly of bench seating to both sides with low tables and working men's club chairs. There are a couple of high tables at the back with two tall chairs each. Further to this, there are four orange stools at shelves near the front door.

Dog biscuits were present on the bar counter, so presumably this place, like many micros, is dog friendly.

This was a nice place to visit and I would definitely be happy to return.
