A relatively recent opening in the railway arches behind Temple Meads station, like it’s neighbour Little Martha Brewing, this is the tap room for the Unwin’s brewery, with the rear half of the pub consisting of the brewery, and the front half the public drinking area.

Décor wise it’s quite industrial as might be expected, with concrete screed on the floor and a corrugated iron arched roof that has been painted white. Seating was basic metal tables and bench seats, whilst a few sacks had been hung on one wall and fairy lights strung across the ceiling. One side had some red quarry style tiling on the lower part of the wall, with a shelf above which housed a few pot plants, a brewery mirror and a lamp, but other than that there was little of any note.

Unfortunately there were no real ales on tap, with the solitary pump on the bar counter appearing to be unused. A small selection of keg taps were on the back wall, and these were all dispensing their own beers as would be expected with the choice on this occasion consisting of The Big Cheese (an American barley wine at 9.6% and £4.50 a half), Coferment (a strawberry coffee sour) and Subtrack (an extra pale ale). The solitary cider meanwhile was Tippett’s. Overall, it was ok, but didn’t really have enough in the way of beer or atmosphere to tempt me back too often.
