paulof horsham left this review about The Clarence
The Clarence in the town's pedestrianised Market Place is a modern cafe-bar, which was definitely kid-friendly just after school chucking out. On the bar were 4 hand pumps, with 3 devoted to variously flavoured Lilley's ciders and the 4th devoted to nothing. A row of keg taps behind the bar features all the usual Madri, Blue Moon and the like as well as a few craftier options such as Vocation and a hazy pale whose name escapes me, though the price does not (a very reasonable £2.60 a half).
I suspect ageing ale drinkers are not the target here and, given the options in Hinckley, I swiftly moved on.
