A recent opening on the site of a former Cuban sandwich shop, it’s definitely more of a bar rather than your traditional pub, complete with a short cocktail menu on all the tables, although there were also a few options on tap.

Internally it’s divided in to two levels with a mezzanine section up a few steps at the rear overlooking the rest of the pub. Décor wise it’s fairly unremarkable with sanded wooden boards on the floor and mottled green on the walls, as well as a large mural of a lady in a yellow dress drinking from a bottle. The ceiling had been painted to look like the sky with a blue background and clouds and a chandelier was suspended from it. Seating was mostly small square tables with church chairs, along with a few stools at the bar. The upper level was broadly similar, and had a red illuminated “What the fuck have you done” sign on the back wall which I thought was somewhat unnecessary. Call me a prude if you like, but I don’t think that does anything to enhance the ambience. There were also a couple of DJ decks here, so presumably music features on occasions.

There were no real ales on tap unfortunately, just Lost & Grounded’s Wanna Go To The Sun on keg. The solitary cider meanwhile was Thatcher’s Gold. Not overly impressed, and with far better options just a short stroll away, I can’t see myself returning anytime soon.

Recent opening a week ago in the ever increasing Stokes Croft area.

Classed as a bar, café and venue with a striking mural on the corner building that's impossible to miss, although I did when driving past it on Wednesday morning.

Opening hours at present reported as from 11.00 assume to the cafe element as a number of others around Stokes Croft don't open until mid afternoon.
