Although Castaways claims to be a restaurant, it is in fact a marina bar that does modern bistro-style food at above average prices. The pub is housed in a former boat house attached to a main house building. It consists of a long single barn-like room, most of it on the ground floor, though there are two nicely-designed mezzanines with table for diners. The bar is at one end of the ground floor, the remainder open and airy. There are also a few tables and benches outside by the marina working areas. An old fashioned jukebox provided some nausiostalgic muzak, and the pub was both dog and child friendly, provided both were well behaved. Two ales on draft, Tribute and Firebrand EPA, both in good condition. Also available were Cruzcampo, Summerleaze IPA, Inch's Cider, Moretti and Korev. It's a good place to come and eat and drink if you're here anyway, but I'm not sure I'd make a special effort given that to get here by land you have to pass some pretty good pubs.
