Real Ale Ray left this review about Sanzibar

Formerly a cafe, this nice little bar had a friendly knowledgeable barman on duty. One room with the bar facing you. The bar was made up of pine clad planks, with a formica oak top. 4 pumps with 3 on, Salopian Kashpur V2, Butty Bach & Hobsons Town Crier. The Kashpur was excellent at £4.60 a pint. They also have 8 keg and 2 ciders. We got chatting to one of the brewers from the local Bright Oak Brewery, this bar stocks their beer regularly, which is great to hear. They had some of the biggest cobs I've ever seen in here, I could see Ray's face lighting up but he'd already eaten one in the Stump...visited August 2025.

Located in a 60s styled shopping range, there is a nice front patio area. The interior is a straight room with the serving bar facing you. The service was good and the clientele mixed as there was a duo playing live music in (they were good). Four ales were on, with a very good Hobsons Town Crier. A pleasant visit as it always is here.
