Flying Trunk haven't been going that long but have established a cosy taproom on the edge of the Ashdown Forest, on the north side of Forest Row. They offer 2 cask and 4 keg of their own brews, plus a cider, in sublime condition. Food when I visited was limited to toasties and hours were limited to Thursday/ Friday, though it seems that they are going to give Saturday evenings a go during November at least.

Outside, there's a few benches under a canopy. Inside, seating is more comfortable than your average taproom (as well as more than a few micro pubs). The husband and wife team running the brewery are friendly and enthusiastic giving an atmosphere superior in my view to even the best micro pubs.

Well worth the effort.
